Providence – Nellie Gorbea, Democratic candidate for Secretary of State, has won the support of the Jamestown Democratic Town Committee.
"After meeting with both of the candidates for Secretary of State, our committee made the decision to endorse Nellie Gorbea. Nellie firmly believes that transparency and accountability are cornerstones to effective and open government,” said Melody Drnach, Vice Chairwoman of the Jamestown Democratic Town Committee. “Nellie also is committed to ensuring that every eligible Rhode Islander can easily register to vote and has access to critical voting information that ensures that Democracy thrives in the Ocean State. We look forward to supporting Nellie in the Primary."
Jamestown joins the Little Compton, Exeter, Central Falls, East Greenwich, Foster, Coventry, Tiverton and Barrington Democratic Town Committees who have endorsed Gorbea’s candidacy.
